For Torry.. when I needed him during my breakup with my now ex-fiance Brian, he was always there for me to talk to & take comfort in.

When I needed it most

You were the one there

To ease my heartache

And comfort my despair

I cannot thank you enough

For simply standing by me

Helping me when times were rough

And offering only love in return

I only hope I can return the favor

And be an equally good friend to you

I bear not only a love of labor,

But, rather a labor of love, for you,

And if you should ever need me,

To hold you, to comfort and soothe,

Know that I am by your side in spirit

And always your steadfast friend, true,

Know that I may not always be there,

But that you will, always,

Have my thoughts and loyal care.

. . . and a pen rests by the chalice, pull up a chair by this, the fire, drink long, the ink and wine are able, the script leaps from hand, into the pyre,
. . . yes, the bottle is half full, pull the cork and pour another, hide your eyes deep in the swallow, and we'll burn this script together,
. . . damn the feather, pour the ink, and let the ruin stain those lips, I beg and hope to share this hour, but those hands of yours, will never leave your hips.
