To Scott, my soulmate

You'd think I would have figured out

The ways I couldn't live without

You in my life and in my heart

The ways my life just couldn't start

Without you there, being in your care

With all your love and all your power

It began to scare me, how I felt

I ran away when my heart began to melt

But you have my love and even my soul

There wasn't far that I could go

And you couldn't part or stray away

Both our feelings are here to stay

Nothing can take you away form me now

Love will keep us, love is how

We'll stay together and grow in part

Our love sustaining our one Heart

. . . and a pen rests by the chalice, pull up a chair by this, the fire, drink long, the ink and wine are able, the script leaps from hand, into the pyre,
. . . yes, the bottle is half full, pull the cork and pour another, hide your eyes deep in the swallow, and we'll burn this script together,
. . . damn the feather, pour the ink, and let the ruin stain those lips, I beg and hope to share this hour, but those hands of yours, will never leave your hips.
