Another poem about Tad, feeling very depressed because I felt as if I should break up with him.

My life is going nowhere fast

Should have known this wasn't meant to last

Perils lurk in every corner

A billion problems for this angst-wrought loner

What to do when life is stagnant

Lines just don't want to intertwine

Cross the curves & destroy the granite

Nothing's looking mighty fine

Whoever answered the Sphinx's riddle

Tell me the answer and end this time

'Cause I can't simply sit & piddle

I've got to know what's truly mine.

Jaded Poet, Lonely in Company
. . . and a pen rests by the chalice, pull up a chair by this, the fire, drink long, the ink and wine are able, the script leaps from hand, into the pyre,
. . . yes, the bottle is half full, pull the cork and pour another, hide your eyes deep in the swallow, and we'll burn this script together,
. . . damn the feather, pour the ink, and let the ruin stain those lips, I beg and hope to share this hour, but those hands of yours, will never leave your hips.
